Lange To Return To American Horror Story
The return of American Horror Story has been long over due! And we have not been disappointed, with a raunchy sex scene between Matt Bomer and Lady Gaga, a months supply of halloween blood and some of the creepiest scenes allowed on tv- infulenced by Steven Kings work no doubt!
But one thing that is missing is Jessica Lange. The woman who has been the soul of the decided to leave the show having given it four years and four remarkable characters. Lange was a huge loss to AHS but now we may rejoice because Lange is set to return.
Ryan Murphy the series' producer stated in an interview for EW "It’s always possible. I’m trying to deal with her play schedule. Jessica is always about the character. She’ll be back—she’s not gone forever"
Speculation still arounds what character she may play or when she may arrive but Murphy has told us that she's back and were ecstatic! Lange is set to return for an unspecified time in this years version of AHS: Hotel alongside AHS veteran Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters.
Not gone forever is good enough for us right?! So what do you think? What type of character will Lange play not that she's not part of the credited cast? Will she star as a a new character passing through the hotel? Or will Murphy blend the worlds of past season and show us Elsa Mars or The Supreme having a night away in Los Angeles- anything is possible! Either way I'm sure she will make one hell of an impact!

Black Swan
Once Upon A Time came back to our screens in the usual OUAT style this week, of course, *spoiler* ending with our beloved group of Heroes and Villains being transported to an enchanted land- this time Camelot and returning without a single memory of the events that took place after their arrival. It is revealed that they have been gone six weeks. I don't think the viewers were shocked at this. But what was shocking was the cold Dark One we saw at the end of the episode.

Star Trek: Into Date Night
Only a few days ago British Netflix honoured us with Star Trek: Into Darkness. Uploading the incredible sequel to Star Trek (2009), giving a different interpretation to the well know story of 'The Wrath of Khan', a superior war criminal with dangerous strength and intellect, striking fear into the hearts of all those involved in Star Fleet's operations. Those who boldly go where none has gone before.
With this in mind I decide to have a date night with my boyfriend Nick, to celebrate Netflix's uploading of Star Trek: Into Darkness. So being all witty, I decided to call this night, Star Trek: Into Date Night!
With candles lit and the oven heating up I followed these five simple steps to making Star Trek: Into Date Night Happen...

Parasocial Relationships
First of all what is a Parasocial Relationship and where do we find them?
Basically, a parasocial relationship is a one-way or non-reciprocal relationship with a character or persona. This is therefore the psychological term given to the attachment of 'fans' to characters or celebrities. These relationships can be formed with television characters, video game characters, literary characters or even real people.
Just about everyone with access to different forms of media have established parasocial relationships; from your favourite children book characters, like Harry Potter to your favourite characters on Netflix originals, obviously Piper Kerman, they all fall under the umbrella term of a parasocial relationship.
The most famous case of parasocial relationships in pop culture is the forming of the fan base the brown coats. These are the avid fans of Firefly, the Joss Whedon television programme cancelled after only one season. These fans petitioned and met regularly at conventions and shin digs in order to raise awareness of the loss of their favourite television show. Ultimately this led to a successful blockbuster film Serenity being made, picking up where the last show left off. This captures just how extreme parasocial relationships can actually become- which is amazing considering they are only enforced by one person. It also showcases the implications of these relationships, as actors jobs were apparent again along with an entire work force used to create a large blockbuster movie.
So now if you're watching TV, reading a novel or comic and think wow! They're my favourite character, well now you know why. You have a strong parasocial relationship with the character in question.

Charlie Cox is Daredevil in Netflix Original
Just recently it has been revealed that the actor Charlie Cox (Stardust) has been cast as Daredevil in the upcoming Netflix original season of the same name. The season is set to run for thirteen episodes with hopes of further seasons after the pilot season's run.
The show will focus around Matt Murdock (Daredevil) who loses his vision which empowers his remaining senses. This show intends to explore the masked heroes lineage and history from the event that causes him to become Daredevil. We are expecting great things from this show and without a water shed we're expecting a darker take on Daredevil as a character and a darker setting of the iconic Hell's Kitchen.
The most recent portrayal of Daredevil was played by Ben Affleck, so we're wondering if Cox can outshine him. Very little has been confirmed about the show however we now have a cast Daredevil and I think we can expect to see iconic Marvel heroes and villains stepping foot into Hell's Kitchen. I'm defiantly hoping to see a darker version of Elektra and a new portrayal of the relation between the two characters. I have a sneaky feeling we will get both of these elements along with an array of diverse and complex characters from the Marvel universe.
Netflix have upped their game in the past few years and are establishing themselves as a great television network in their own right, and I'm pretty sure with a project like Daredevil this status will only be increased! Having seen the success of Arrow and the excitement growing over Fox's upcoming Gotham it makes complete sense that Netflix would jump on the band wagon! And we're so happy they have!
What do you guys think? Better than Affleck? Excited for the show? Which masked heroes or villains are you hoping for? Feel free to comment below!
